After Charles Barkley, Jason Kidd is my second favorite basketball player of all time, and I believe he is the greatest Net ever.

He resurrected the Nets, not just by adding credibility, but by carrying the team on his back to two NBA Finals ('01-'02, '02-'03), and he was far better than any of the Nets on the '94 team that made some noise (Derrick Coleman, Kenny Anderson, Drazen Petrovic). Before that, stand-out Nets were Buck Williams and Dr. J, and I'd take Kidd over each of them in a second.

With the Nets, Kidd made five All-Star games, led the league in assists twice, made the All-NBA first team twice, made the All-NBADefensive first team once, and chose the Nets over the Spurs as a free agent in '03.

Kidd, Kittles, Van Horn, Martin, Jefferson. You can't front on that.
