The greatest picture I've ever taken
Luca was playing with his Italian cousins, Mario and Matteo, in Ischia, and I thought it would be the good father thing to capture them playing, defying language barriers and reveling in the joy that is boyhood in the summer. They were playing Kadima (wooden paddles, little blue ball), and I snapped this shot of Luca, just as he lowered his paddle. Bad shot, I thought.
A few days later I was back in Procida. I flipped through the pictures I'd taken in Ischia and spotted fresknasty here in the background. (I zoomed in on the original so you could get the full effect.)
